Wedding Photography in Vancouver - Bridesmaids

Bridesmaids play an important supportive role in the wedding as well as when doing wedding photography.
When discussing the shots prior to the wedding day, both the bride and the photographer should discuss such scenarios.
It is vital to ensure that none of the bridesmaid take away from the bride herself . If any of these girls are taller or stand out more than the others, it’s best to put them in the far corner of the photo. The bride should always be in the center of attention and stand out among her bridesmaids, surrounded by them but not lost between them.

When at the ceremony in Vancouver, Wedding photographers should pay close attention to the bridesmaids reaction because these girls show plenty of emotion when their best friend is getting married. They can be a very good photo subject along with the closest family members in the audience.

When photographing and arranging the shots after the ceremony, attention to little detail of how each bridesmaid looks is what separates the professional photographer from amateur. Making sure that each girl completes the photo to her best ability, looks her best, smiles and looks happy is what makes a successful girls group shot.

It’s best to position the bride in the middle or in 2/3 or 1/3 of the shot.  Bridesmaids are the closest friends of the bride and they will be important to her in many respects. It is up to the photographer to make the girls look feminine and elegant to form a beautiful composition.

The girls are the toughest judge of the photos thus a non-flattering angle or missed detail can ruin the photographer’s reputation.
